At Mountain Interactive, we understand the importance of safeguarding the online experience of our younger players. As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for children and teenagers, we provide the option to set up Authorized Account Contacts. This feature is specifically designed for parents and guardians to help manage their children's purchases, monitor activity, and have more control over the account’s billing options.

Why Use Authorized Account Contacts?

Authorized contacts allow trusted individuals, like parents or guardians, to manage certain aspects of an account. With this feature, they can:

  • View and pay invoices.

  • Manage purchases and subscriptions on behalf of the account owner.

  • Ensure a more controlled and safe online experience for young users.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Set Up Authorized Account Contacts

1. Log in to Your Mountain Interactive Account

  • To begin, you need to log in to your Mountain Interactive account using your username and password.

2. Navigate to 'My Details'

  • Once logged in, find the 'My Details' section in the left-side navigation panel. This can be accessed from the main dashboard. In the images below, the option is highlighted with a red box for easy identification.

3. Select 'Alternative Contacts'

  • Under 'My Details', click on 'Alternative Contacts'. This is where you will add or manage the authorized contacts for the account.

4. Add a New Contact

  • Click on the 'Add New Contact' button located in the upper-right corner of the screen. A pop-up form will appear, prompting you to enter the details of the person you wish to add.

5. Complete the Contact Information

  • In the form, provide the email address of the contact you would like to authorize. If they do not already have a Mountain Interactive account, they will need to create one.

  • You can specify which purchases the contact will be able to see and manage.

  • Additionally, there is an option to allow the contact to view and pay invoices. This is particularly useful for parents or guardians who need to manage the finances associated with the account.

6. Save the Contact

  • After filling in the necessary information, click 'Save'. Your new authorized contact will now appear under the 'Alternative Contacts' section.

The newly added contact will now have the permissions you specified. Depending on the access level, they may be able to view invoices, make payments, and manage certain purchases. You can edit or remove this contact at any time through the same section.

Benefits of Authorized Account Contacts

  • Safety & Control: Allows parents or guardians to oversee account activities, reducing the risk of unauthorized purchases or misuse.

  • Convenience: Provides an easy way to manage payments without giving full account control to another person.

  • Transparency: Ensures that parents can keep track of their child's spending and subscriptions.

We strongly recommend setting up an authorized contact if you're a parent or guardian looking to protect your child's account. This feature ensures peace of mind and promotes safe gaming practices within the Mountain Interactive community.
